TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Complete Business
Last Updated: March 18, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the website at thecompletebusiness.com (the “Site”) or joining The Growth Collective membership community (the “Membership”), both operated by The Complete Business (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Site, purchasing any product or service, or joining the Membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site or the Membership.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, members, and others who access or use the Service.
2. Description of Services
The Complete Business provides the following services (collectively, the “Service”):
- Educational content, resources, and materials published on the Site
- Products and services available for purchase through the Site
- The Growth Collective, a paid and/or free membership community hosted on the Skool platform
- Email newsletters and communications to opted-in subscribers
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. The Growth Collective Membership
3.1 Membership Access
The Growth Collective is a membership community hosted on Skool. By joining, you gain access to community discussions, educational content, courses, and other member resources as described at the time of your enrollment. Access is subject to these Terms and the Community Rules set out in Section 4.
3.2 Membership Plans
We offer various membership plans, which may include free access, monthly or annual subscriptions, and lifetime access plans. The specific features and pricing of each plan are described on the membership enrollment page at the time of purchase.
3.3 Lifetime Membership — Important Limitations
If you have purchased or been granted a “lifetime” membership (whether free or paid), please read the following carefully:
- “Lifetime” refers to the lifetime of The Growth Collective community, not the lifetime of the individual member.
- A lifetime membership grants you access for as long as The Growth Collective community exists and continues to operate in its current form.
- We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to sell, transfer, close, rebrand, restructure, or discontinue The Growth Collective community at any time. In such an event, lifetime members will be provided with reasonable advance notice (where practicable) but are not entitled to a refund solely on the basis of the community being closed, sold, or materially changed.
- Lifetime memberships are non-transferable and may not be sold, gifted, or assigned to another individual.
- We reserve the right to modify the features, content, and structure of any membership plan, including lifetime plans, at any time.
By purchasing or accepting a lifetime membership, you acknowledge and agree to these limitations.
3.4 Membership Fees and Billing
Paid membership fees are charged at the rates displayed at the time of enrollment. For recurring subscriptions, your payment method will be charged automatically at the start of each billing period. All payments are processed securely through Stripe or PayPal.
All fees are stated in US dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
3.5 Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel a recurring membership subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access until that date. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.
Refund requests for one-time purchases or lifetime plans are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact us at hello@thecompletebusiness.com within 14 days of your purchase.
3.6 Membership Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership, without refund, if you violate these Terms, the Community Rules (Section 4), or engage in conduct that we determine, at our sole discretion, is harmful to the community or its members.
4. Community Rules — The Growth Collective
By joining The Growth Collective, you agree to abide by the following Community Rules and General Code of Conduct. These rules exist to maintain a positive, professional, and supportive environment for all members.
4.1 Foundational Rules (Non-Negotiable)
Respect & Kindness Always: We are all on this journey together — navigating options, trying things out, and finding our own unique paths. Engage with courtesy and kindness. No judgment, bullying, or negativity towards others will be tolerated.
Confidentiality is Non-Negotiable: Do not share anything from this community externally. This includes member stories, screenshots, classroom content, and member names. What happens in the community stays in the community.
No Promotion or Selling: This is a space for learning, connection, and growth — not marketing. Do not promote services or programs, or send unsolicited direct messages to other members unless explicitly invited to do so.
Support Over Solutions: Offer support, reflections, and questions — not unsolicited solutions, fixes, or advice unless explicitly requested by another member.
4.2 Best Practices and General Code of Conduct
Engage Consistently: Participation makes this space more valuable. Comment, post, and support each other with encouragement and curiosity.
Celebrate Wins & Learnings: Big or small, your growth matters. Share your wins, insights, and breakthroughs — we celebrate together.
Post Responsibly & Ask Thoughtful Questions: Use discussion categories to help structure and organize posts. This makes it easier for the community as a whole to find questions and answers.
4.3 Reporting and Enforcement
If you experience or witness any foundational rule being broken, please report it to Admin or email hello@thecompletebusiness.com. We strive to make The Growth Collective a positive, heart-centred, and supportive place for everyone.
Failure to comply with the Community Rules may result in a warning, suspension, or permanent removal from the community at our sole discretion, without refund.
5. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership
5.1 Our Content
Much of the content on the Site and within The Growth Collective — including but not limited to text, graphics, videos, audio recordings, course materials, worksheets, templates, guides, branding, and any other materials (collectively, “Content”) — is owned by or licensed to The Complete Business and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Content solely for your own personal, non-commercial purposes as a user or member of the Service.
5.2 Third-Party Expert and Contributor Content
Some Content within The Growth Collective may be created, presented, or contributed by guest experts, speakers, coaches, or other third-party contributors (“Contributors”). Such Content remains the sole intellectual property of the respective Contributor and is protected by copyright and applicable intellectual property laws.
The Complete Business does not claim ownership over Contributor Content. However, Contributors who share content within The Growth Collective have agreed to make that content available to members for personal, non-commercial use only. The same prohibited uses set out in Section 5.3 apply equally to Contributor Content.
If you believe any Contributor Content has been used in a manner that infringes their rights, please contact us at hello@thecompletebusiness.com and we will address the matter promptly.
5.3 Prohibited Uses of Content
You may not, without our express prior written permission:
- Copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, or distribute any Content
- Sell, resell, license, sublicense, or commercially exploit any Content
- Share, screenshot, record, or distribute Content from The Growth Collective membership to any person who is not a current member
- Use any Content to create derivative works or competing products or services
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from Content
Unauthorized use of any Content is a violation of these Terms and may constitute copyright infringement, which may result in legal action.
5.4 Member-Generated Content
By posting content within The Growth Collective community (such as comments, questions, or shared resources), you grant The Complete Business a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and share that content within the community platform for community purposes. You retain ownership of your own original content.
You are solely responsible for any content you post and represent that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
6. Purchases, Payments, and Processors
Products and services, including membership plans, are purchased through our Site. All payment transactions are processed by Stripe or PayPal. By making a purchase, you agree to their respective terms of service.
We do not store your full credit card details. All financial transactions are encrypted and handled securely by our payment processors.
All sales are final except where otherwise stated in our refund policy (Section 3.5) or as required by applicable consumer protection laws.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
7.1 No Professional Advice
The Content provided through the Site and The Growth Collective is for general educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, business, medical, or any other form of professional advice. You should consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
Results discussed or shared within the community are not guaranteed. Individual results will vary based on a variety of factors outside our control.
7.2 No Warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
7.3 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, The Complete Business and its owner(s), employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Third-Party Links and Platforms
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services, including Skool, Stripe, PayPal, and others. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, terms, or practices of any third-party platforms. We strongly encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party service you use.
Your use of Skool as our membership hosting platform is also subject to Skool’s own Terms of Service, available at https://www.skool.com/legal.
9. Email Communications
By subscribing to our newsletter or opting in to email communications, you consent to receiving commercial electronic messages from The Complete Business in accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at hello@thecompletebusiness.com. Transactional emails related to your membership or purchases are not subject to unsubscribe requests.
10. Age Restrictions
The Service is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. By using the Service or joining the Membership, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly permit individuals under 18 to use the Service or join The Growth Collective.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Our Privacy Policy is available at https://thecompletebusiness.com/privacy-policy and describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in compliance with PIPEDA, CASL, CCPA/CPRA, and GDPR.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario, Canada.
If you are a consumer located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, nothing in these Terms limits your right to bring a claim before your local courts or competent regulatory authority.
13. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. If a change is material, we will provide at least 14 days’ notice prior to the new terms taking effect, either by posting a notice on the Site or by emailing members directly.
